Pandemic flu being prepared

A pandemic flu and being prepared; what does it mean? Are we truly facing a pandemic flu? How do you keep you and your family safe in a pandemic flu environment? How should you prepare for a pandemic flu? These are all wonderful questions that can be easily answered by our every-day lives.
Much like any other flu season, it begins by taking precautions. From washing your hands, avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, along with staying out of heavily-populated areas if you are yourself sick.
Stock up on a minimum of a two weeks supply of food and water. Purchasing them as you can and storing them in a clean, dry place. Remember to check your health care supplies. Whether it be your standard cold and flu medications or prescription medications that are needed by you or your family.
Keeping fluids in those within your home is the number one important thing in treating and preparing for a pandemic flu. Keeping at hand a thermometer, blankets, soap or alcohol based hand cleaner, as well as face masks to help prevent the spread of the flu within your own family.
